Team TTAF in Ethiopia

Ayano has lived in the Netherlands for about 24 years and went to Ethiopia to live in Sashamene in 2013. There he established a clinic in Kofele (about 27 km from Sashamene). In the meantime, Ayano lives with his wife and son in Addis Ababa.

For TTAF he will mainly focus on the following projects:

  • Project organization and execution Better Brace
  • Project organization and implementation of Eye Medications
  • Implementation Microfinance
  • Schooling blind children in Debre Zeit

In addition to these projects, Ayano is responsible for the realization of the Health Center Sashamene. He works closely with Albert Fieret here.

Zenebe has a long track record in development cooperation. In the past he was responsible for projects of Woord & Daad in Ethiopia (eg Hope University). He is currently also active for another Dutch foundation for training, YEP Ethiopia. Zenebe lives in Addis Ababa with his wife. Their 3 adult children no longer live at home.

For TTAF Zenebe is active for the following projects:

  • Coordination and support of deaf (young) women in the execution of their sewing workshop
  • Guidance of the management of a blind organization (Hope for the Blind), where dozens of blind people have a job
  • Guidance and monitoring of Salu Self Help Blind and Handicapped Association, an organization with branches in Addis Ababa, Sashamene and Hawassa
  • Support for Ayano in the realization of the Health Center Sashamene (mainly focused on procedures and HRM)

In addition, Zenebe is used for special research projects, focusing on quality control, financial analysis and the implementation of process improvements.
